Candice was born in Virginia; her family moved to Maryland when she was three years old. She always wanted to be a doctor, but writing was something that she could do
well with almost no effort. Therefore, she decided to major in English and minor in biology. She is pursuing a graduate degree in anatomy in preparation for medical
school, which she hopes to enter within a few years. She has had four essays published on Metavue Citation, a Web site where students can use essays written by other
students for citations. She loves kids and volunteers as a Sunday School teacher at her church. She voraciously reads books on all subjects, but has a penchant for early
American literature. In the next ten years, Candice can see herself as a pediatrician who writes for medical journals and owning a Scottish terrier and a Bernese
Mountain dog.
