Teaching and Editing Experience:
- Abbie was born and raised in Wyoming. She earned her PhD from Duke University, where she taught undergraduate classes in American studies, cultural studies, composition, ethnic studies, and literature. She has edited manuscripts for the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa, South Atlantic Quarterly, Universitas Human–stica, and Oregon Law Review. She is working on her first novel.
